What We Do!

St Paul’s was instrumental in the founding of the Center for Lay Ministries (CLM) in Jeffersonville. We continue to offer active support to the Center through a monthly offering of non-perishable food; through people from the congregation volunteering at the Center, and through donations to the work of CLM.

We are active in the Downtown Churches of Jeffersonville. Our congregations work and worship together throughout the year and support one another’s ministries and programs.

A portion of our time and talents support work  through St Paul’s Outide the Walls. Monthly we take on small projects in the larger community to meet specific needs. We have done such things as table decorations at a local nusing home. Provided greeting cards for nursing home residents; Provided Christmas stockings amd Easter Baskets for a local youth shelter.

For 6 years St Paul's has sponsored an annual series of three or four benefit concerts for local not for profit community service organizations under the title St Paul's Presents. There is no admission chareg and the concerts are free and open to the community. It is a generosity event and each concert includes the opportunity for those attending to make a donation for the community service organization for whose benefit the concert was organized.

Our facilities are used by community groups such as the weekly Monday evening Narcotic Anonymous group,  the Saturday morning meeting of an AA group, and occasional meetings by the Health Department, Habitat for Humanity, and the Clark County Museum.  Clark County CARES (Community Addiction Resources, Education & Support) meets monthly in teh paorish hall at St Paul's.

We celebrate a variety of blessing and share prayer concerns  worship. Some make voluntary contributions to the United Thank Offering.

We collect shoes for WaterStep that turns used shoes into water projects in developing countries.
