About Us
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, located in downtown Jeffersonville, Indiana—just across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky—is a community rooted in welcome, hospitality, and acceptance. The people of St. Paul’s invite you to gather with us: to rest in the Lord, to be sheltered beneath the inclusive branches of God’s love, and to live out the radical openness of God’s grace.
Sundays at 1:00 p.m.
(yes—you can sleep in!)
On the corner of Walnut and East Market Streets, St. Paul’s is an intergenerational congregation that values full and active participation in worship. Beyond Sunday services, we often gather around the table to share meals, coffee, or even a lively game of trivia. We also offer educational opportunities such as book studies and conversations that connect faith with current events and everyday life.
What We Value:
Community • Cooperation • Acceptance
We joyfully extend God’s invitation to all people—gay, lesbian, transgender, bisexual, straight; male, female, and non-binary; young and old; liberal and conservative; married, single, partnered; bi-/multi-racial; searching, in recovery, healing, or any other beautiful combination thereof. At St. Paul’s, we strive to prepare a safe and welcoming place at God’s table, trusting that all are valued and included in God’s loving realm.
Our purpose is simple and bold: to share God’s radical openness with the world. Our community includes children, elders (some well into their 90s!), lifelong Episcopalians, and many who have found their way to this faith tradition more recently. Wherever you come from, there is room for you here.
No matter where you are on your spiritual journey—or what questions you carry—St. Paul’s welcomes you. If you are seeking a worshiping community or are new to the area, we would love for you to get to know us and consider joining us as companions on life’s journey.
But don’t just take our word for it…
