Church Leadership
Minister for Christian Formation
Pastor Paul-Anthony Turner
Pastor Paul-Anthony Turner (or just Pastor Paul) loves Jesus and finds his greatest fulfillment in helping others to connect with God in meaningful ways. He served as a pastor in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the church of his upbringing. After coming out as gay, he joined and was ordained a minister of Word and sacrament in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). After a period of prayerful discernment, Paul-Anthony found his way into the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Paul-Anthony is in final stages his PhD in Philosophy program at the University of Kentucky (expected 2026), where he studies hermeneutics and postmodern theories of truth. He enjoys using philosophy to guide people to think in nuanced ways about truth and to reconsider how we might interpret the various “texts” of life in a way that is honest, imaginative, and life-affirming.
Paul-Anthony has completed two marathons, and you can find him most any day working out in the gym, listening to Star Wars audiobooks (huge fan!), or vibing to Stevie Wonder and PJ Morton. But his favorite pastime is laughing and hanging out with his friends.
Priest-in-Charge
Fr. Allan just started serving at St. Paul's as our Priest-in-Charge in January 2026 after providing regular Holy Eucharist services for us once a month for over a year and a half. Fr. Allan also serves at St. Paul's in New Albany and presides at both parishes on Sundays. He has served full time at New Albany since 2022 and is excited to be with us, as we too are excited to begin our chapter together.
Fr. Allan tends to the spiritual and pastoral needs of the parish and our community. He also provides Christian Education and Formation, works with the community in building relationships and striving for justice for all of our neighbors, and in partnership with the Vestry, manages our building maintenance. He preaches the Word and supports the facilitation of our parish ministries with the help of our parish leaders, members, and volunteers.

St. Paul’s Vestry
The Vestry at St. Paul's manages all of the formal business and financial decisions within the parish in conjunction with the Priest-in-Charge. They are volunteers that serve three-year terms, while being leaders in the spiritual and professional workings of the parish community. We appreciate the sacrifices of their time, talent, and resources as they pour into our community through this ministry.
